What is Porcelain Stoneware?

Ardogres tiles are made of ceramic material ... let's find out why.

Porcelain tile is a compact (non-porous) and colored ceramic product obtained by pressing. The term of French origin, "gres," indicates that the ceramic mass of the tile is extremely 'greified,' compact, hence the ceramic material's exceptional resistance to impact, staining, chemical attack, bending and abrasion, as well as being an extremely hygienic material.

Made exclusively of natural raw materials, free of plastic and harmful substances, porcelain stoneware ensures color resistance to light, is non-absorbent, resistant to chemical attack, staining, wear, abrasion and any external stress.

In addition, it is a frost-proof material, unalterable to any climatic condition, fully recyclable, inert, fireproof (in case of fire, it does not release substances harmful to either humans or the environment), hypoallergenic, unalterable over time antibacterial, impervious to mold and moss, self-cleaning, and capable of reducing pollutants.
